Koraput: Kakirigumma police in this district arrested Monday three persons, who have been extorting money in the garb of Maoists, SP Mukesh Bhamoo said at a press meet at his office.
The accused have been identified Sukadeva Mahanandia (37) and Shyam Mahanandia (28) of Uparasahi and Talashahi villages, both of which fall under the Semiliguda police limits and Purna Tadingi (27) of Uparagumandi village under Narayanpatna block.
Bhamoo also informed that a country-made rifle and some posters were seized from them.
