Bhubaneswar: Wisdom poetry has the power to enlighten our path said National vice president of BJP Shyam Jaju, Thursday, while inaugurating the Wisdom Poetry Session on the second day of 39th World Congress of Poets (WCP) being organised at KIIT here.

Jaju said, “Poetry can make ourselves connect with a movement. Wisdom poetry is a counsellor helping us to understand one another better. Leading us away from hate to love and from violence to mercy and pity, it has the power to enlighten our path. Wisdom poetry reveals an understanding that deep meaning can felt in the details,” he added.

But in this generation we have the resources to provide education and primary healthcare to everyone in the world. Simultaneously, there is possibility of destroying anything. We need to be more cautious to protect the mankind and our environment. Poetry is beauty and poetry is love. Combination of beauty and freedom, beauty with education, beauty with love may be this world different, he added.

Hrushikesha Mohanty, Vice-Chancellor, KIIT Deemed to be University said, “The land of Odisha is known for wisdom poetry. Odia Bhagabat written by Atibadi Jagannath Dash is the wisdom poetry of Odisha. Poetry is exactly love and compassion, he said.
