Updated Scorpio priced Rs9.97 lakh
New Delhi: Mahindra & Mahindra Tuesday launched an updated version of its SUV Scorpio with price starting at Rs9.97 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The new model comes with various enhanced features including higher power and new 6-speed transmission. “Today as we launch the new all powerful Scorpio, we have further enhanced its on road presence while retaining its core DNA of power, thrill and adventure,” M&M President Automotive Sector Rajan Wadhera said in a statement. The updated model now comes with an option of mHawk engine which has been enhanced to deliver higher power of 140 bhp and torque of 320 Nm.
LIC cancer cover with Rs50 cr sum assured
Chennai: Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) Tuesday announced the launch of a cancer cover as a health insurance policy with sum assured ranging from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 50 lakh. The ‘Cancer Cover’ policy, which can be taken by those in the age group of 20 to 65, was a non-linked plan with yearly and half-yearly premium paying options, a company release said. Fixed benefits would be paid in case the Life Assured was diagnosed with any specified early and/or major stage cancer during the policy term subject to terms and conditions. Sum assured is available from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 50 lakh. There were two options — sum assured and increment of the sum assured by 10 per cent of basic sum assured for the first five years, it said.
Jaguar F-Pace priced Rs60.02 lakh
Mumbai: Jaguar Land Rover India, which has set a target of 14 per cent volume share in the luxe car space, Tuesday began local assembly of its popular SUV, the F-Pace, from its Pune plant and priced it Rs 8.4 lakh lower than the CBU model. The F-Pace, which is the first performance SUV from the Jaguar stable, is priced at Rs 60.02 lakh for a 2-liter diesel engine. The imported model was priced at Rs 68.40 lakh and was launched last October. Bookings are now open and deliveries will begin from the end of November, the company said. The F-Pace is the sixth model from its Pune plant. The other being the Jaguar XE, XF, XJ, and Land Rover Discovery Sport, and Range Rover Evoque.
