Bhubaneswar: Kolkata lad Samridh Sen stuck an assured five over 77 to finish atop the leaderboard at the halfway stage of the Milky Moo Orissa Juniors Golf tournament here, Friday.
Samridh stuck two birdies on the 10th and 15th holes but dropped strokes on six holes including a double bogey on the penultimate 17th. However that did not prevent him from leading over Sanu Das by one stroke going into Saturday’s final round.
Among others Aroush Tagore is placed third, two strokes behind at 80 followed by Abhikanks Basu at 82 and Khokan Mulla completing the top five at 85.
Aroush however, emerged leader in Category B while Ramayush Ray topped the Category C card with a day’s score of 83. Rakshik Basu is a further six strokes behind Rakshik at 92.
In Category D, Ahaan Gupta took top spot with 91 followed by Rishi Biswas at 92.
Amongst the girls, city girl Rounaska Jena took the first day honours.
