100 men perform ‘last rites’ of ex-wives who are still alive

Nasik: In a bizarre incident, around 100 men performed the last rites of their divorced or soon to be divorced wives who are still alive.

The men from across many parts with the help of an NAGO ‘Vastav’ performed the ‘pind daan’ and ‘shraadh’ of their ex-wives on Ganga’s bank to get rid of their failed marriage’s bad memories.

A ‘pishachini mukti’ (everyday language used for female evil spirit) was also conducted. The men said that the puja was conducted for emotional detachment from bad memories.

As per reports, one husband is pushed to commit suicide every 6.5 minutes in India due to mental torture by his wife. So, the pind daan was conducted to free men from the torture of their wives.
