Gunpur: Two workers engaged in a stone quarry died while two others sustained grievous injuries after a tractor was hit by a tipper at Luba-based stone quarry under Gunpur block in Rayagada district Sunday.
The deceased were tipper helper Dauda Sabar of Udasingh village under Gumma block and Gela Sabar of Luba area. The injured–Srimanti Sabar and Kiran Sabar of Bhulasa village– were admitted at Gunpur sub-divisional hospital.
Both the vehicles were engaged in the stone quarry. While the tipper was moving out after loading stones, it hit the tractor as the driver lost control, leading to the mishap.
