Bhubaneswar: Two Odisha cadre IAS officers holding various charges at Centre were elevated to secretary rank.
The 1986 batch IAS G V Venugopala Sarma and 1985 batch IAS officer and G C Murmu of Odisha cadre were promoted as the secretaries in the Union Government.
Moreover, Odisha cadre IAS officers Manoj Ahuja, Sanjeev Chopra, G.Srinivas, Arti Ahuja, Nitin Chandra were elevated as additional secretaries at Centre.
Besides, the IAS officers from Odisha — Chhabilendra Roul (1985 batch IAS officer of Punjab cadre), Guru Prasad Mohapatra, an IAS officer of 1986 batch (Gujarat Cadre) and 1986 batch IAS officer of AGMU (Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram and Union Territory) cadre Manoj Parida from Odisha also got the union secretary rank.
