24 medals for Orissa karatekas

Bhubaneswar, August 30: Karatekas of the VV Karate School here, performed brilliantly in the All India Ryushin Kan Shito Ryu Karate Championships and International Ryushin Kan Shito Ryu Karate Championships which recently ended in Pondicherry. The two tournaments were played, August 26-28.
Anisha Mishra bagged a gold medal in the U-7 age group of kata and a bronze in the same age group of kumite. She won the gold medal in the open age category of the international kata event in the black and brown belt segments. Rajalaxmi Jena secured a silver in the 8-9 years age group of the kata and bagged the gold in the international open age category of kata in orange, green and blue belts segment.
Star karateka Valena Valentina secured two golds in both kata and kumite categories in 18+ age groups.

Divyak Nayak (U-7, bronze in kata), Amogh Raj (8-9 years, bronze in kata), Bidya Kiran (10-11 years, three golds in kata, team kata and kumite), Sarthika Harichandan (12 years, two golds in kata and team kata, silver in kumite), Sidhanta Kapoor (12 years, gold in team kata, silver in kata), Subham Samal (13 years, gold in kata), Kahakashan Parween (10 years, two golds in kata and kumite), Chinmaya Subudhi (18+ years, gold in kata, bronze in kumite), Debi Prasad Mishra (10 years, gold in kata), Team kata (two golds in male and mixed categories).
