2nd title for Abhishek, Aryan

Bhubaneswar: Abhishek Mohapatra and D Aryan Swamy of Orissa bagged their second consecutive doubles title in two weeks when they emerged champions in the AITA Under-14 Championship Series which concluded Thursday in Kolkata. In the final the Abhishek-Aryan combo defeated Aaman Wasim and Anurag Kedia of West Bengal 6-3, 6-2 in a one-sided encounter. Both incidentally are students of the Farhan Ali Tennis Academy in the city.
Jharkhand beat Orissa
Jharkhand defeated hosts Orissa by 150 runs Thursday in their U-23 CK Nayudu Trophy match at the VSS Stadium in Sambalpur, Chasing a target of 308 runs, Orissa were bowled out for 157 with Jharkhand pacer Sonu Kumar Singh (5-69) wreaking havoc. Jharkhand thus bagged the full quota of six points from the game.

Team announced
Orissa Cricket Association (OCA) announced Thursday a 15-member state team against Chhattishgarh for the U-23 Col CK Nayudu Trophy Plate Group B League match at Bhilai, October 31-November 3. Santanu Mishra has been appointed as the captain of the team.
