3 minor siblings including two girls drown in Tel river in Nabarangpur district

Nabarangpur: Three minors, including 2 girls, drowned in Tel river near Tohara village in Nabarangpur district Thursday morning.

The deceased minors have been identified as Rashmi Santa(6yrs), Shanti Santa (5yrs) and Dasaratha Santa (4yrs).

Sources said, the three had gone to take bath in the river with their younger brother Dasaratha. The boy was swept deep into the matter as he lost control due to carelessness.

In a bid to save him, the two sisters jumped into the water but unfortunately the three could not come out of the river and drowned.

However villagers informed fire brigade department regarding the incident. After being informed, the fire brigade team of Umerkote reached and recovered the bodies of the minor.

The bodies have been sent to Kohra hospital for post mortem.
