Sundargarh: Acting on a tip-off, forest officials Wednesday arrested four poachers on charges of killing a jumbo and subsequently burning the carcass to erase evidence.
The heinous incident has been reported from Sonakhandi village under Rajgangpur block in this district. The accused have been identified as Sadhu Ekka, Surendra Manja, Malar Ekka and Prafulla Kerketa.
A case was registered and the four were produced in court. They were later remanded in judicial custody after the court rejected their bail pleas.
