Berhampur: The Government Railway Police (GRP) Wednesday arrested four transgenders for allegedly bullying passengers and demanding money.
The accused have been identified as Sumant Choudhary alias Sila of Haridakhandi area under Badabazar police station in Berhampur, Budu Sahoo alias Priya of Duduma colony, Sania Bisoyi alias Sonali of Ganesh Bazaar at Kabisuryanagar and Chandan Swain alias Khusi of Pratapnagari under Phulnakhara of Cuttack district.
According to reports, Nanda Kishore Yadav of West Bengal had boarded Yashwantpur-Bhagalpur Express December 23 when the accused allegedly misbehaved with the passengers including him and demanded money.
After receipt of the complaint, the GRP registered a case and arrested them. The accused persons have been forwarded to court, police said.
