Cuttack: A flying squad of Cuttack Excise Saturday evening seized more than 500 litres of country-made liquor from a car and arrested its driver at Athagarh.
The person has been identified as Allahda Pradhan of Chaspada near Choudwar in this district.
Following a tip-off, the squad chased the car and intercepted it near Athagarh.
During the search, six packets stashed with over 500 litres of country-made liquor were seized.
The seized liquor consignment was being sent to Kandarpur area in this district from Athagarh, said Sarat Chandra Bhanja, IIC, Flying Squad.
