Rairangpur: At least six persons were critically injured after a head on collision between an auto-rickshaw and a bike near Sanapokana village under rural police limits of Rairangpur in Mayurbhanj district. While a few sustained minor injuries.
Persons critically injured are identified as Hitesh Kumar Behera, Ayush Sethi, Syamsundar Murmu, Swati Swagatika Tudu, Satyajit Hansada and AgniSharma Pradhan.
According to reports, Auto bearing number OD 11 E 7506 was returning home carrying school students. Meantime Syamsundar and her granddaughter were returning home from school when a face occurred between the vehicles.
With the help of nearby people, Swati and Syamsundar was admitted to Baripada hospital where as others were admitted to Rairangpur hospital.
After being informed, police rushed the spot and took auto rickshaw and bike into custody and started the investigation.
