Bhadrak: Six of seven fishermen, who were missing after a motorized boat carrying them capsized at Balichadha near Wheeler Island in Bhadrak Tuesday, have been rescued.
However, one fisherman, Jhadeswar Maiti (30), is yet to be traced. According to reports, the fishermen from Kasaphala area went into the deep waters. The engine of the boat got stuck into a sand bar as a result of which the boat could not move.
The boat capsized due to strong currents. All the fishermen jumped out of the boat. A team of Dhamra marine police swung into action and rescued six fishermen in a phase manner.
The rescued fishermen were admitted to Dhamra primary health centre. It is suspected that the missing man might have got stuck in the fishing net in the boat.
