Cuttack: As many as 600 students from different academic programmes of Ravenshaw University recently got placed in campus recruitments conducted by several leading companies, including Infosys, Wipro and SAP. The students from different undergraduate and post-graduate streams of the university were selected after written tests, group discussions and personal interviews. Wipro emerged as the biggest recruiter of the season, picking as many as 224 students, followed by Cognizant (166). Concentrix recruited 83 students, while Infosys and TCS selected 67 and 81, respectively. Taj Group of Hotels picked two students and SAP one. “It has been a great year for us .We have recorded successful placements this year too. Ravenshaw has performed better than any technical varsity in the state,” said the vice-chancellor of the university, PC Sarangi. Encouraged by the success, the university plans to impart special lessons on personality development to its students. Almost 70 per cent of the students are from information technology and management, IT, computer science and technology, BBA, commerce and hotel and hospitality departments.PNN
