7 most expensive divorces in Hindi film industry

While people still believe in marriages, divorces and separations have also become a part and parcel of weddings in the modern age. With change in living and lifestyle, marriages these days fail to last long.

And the process of divorces not only punch a big hole in the heart and create most difficult times in the personal lives, but also sometimes punches an even bigger hole in the pockets too!

Even famous stars like Hrithik Roshan, Arjun Rampal and Farhan Akhtar opted for divorces after years of marriage. Here’s how much it cost them in terms of alimony!

Hrithik Roshan and Sussane Khan – Their separation came as a shock for the whole Hindi film industry when they filled for a divorce in 2013 after 14 long years of marriage! For this divorce, Sussane Khan demanded for alimony of rupees 400 crores!  Allegedly Hrithik ended up paying 380 crores in divorce!

Prabhudeva and Ramlatha – The ‘Wanted’ director divorced his wife Ramlatha in 2011. He parted with 25 crores worth of property, two expensive cars and rupees 10 lakhs as one time alimony payment.

Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh – One of the most couple back then, their divorce after 12 years of marriage came as a shocker. Saif had to pay almost half his wealth and a onetime payment of rupees 5 crores to Amrita!

Sanjay Dutt and Rhea Pillai –The former love birds were separated in 1998 when Rhea fell for tennis player Leander Paes!  Sanjay had to pay for her expenses when she had a baby with Leander Paes and their divorce was finalized! He had to pay rupees 8 crores and an expensive car in alimony!

Farhan Akhtar and Adhuna Bhabani –Farhan ended his 16 years of marriage with his wife Adhuna.  Apart from the alimony amount, Farhan had to share his Bandstand bungalow ‘Vipassna’!

Aditya Chopra and Payal Khanna – Adi filed for a divorce with his wife Payal Khanna in 2009. The amount of alimony was too big and it is believed to be one of the most expensive divorces in Hindi film industry!

Karishma Kapoor and Sanjay Kapur –With several ups and down in their relationship, they finally filed for divorce in 2016.  Karishma allegedly received Sanjay’s father’s bungalow in Mumbai and demanded alimony amount of 7 crores.
