Angul: Acting on a tip-off police busted a sex racket at Geeta area in this town and arrested three persons including a woman for the offence Sunday.
The accused were identified as Manjula Tripathy and two men Debanand Sahu (30) of Kandarpur village under Parajang police limits and Tukuna Moharana (22) of Hindol in Dhenkanal district. A case was registered in this connection and the two customers and the sex workers were sent for medical examination.
The three Tripathy, Sahu and Moharana were later produced in court. Cash worth Rs 35,000, seven mobile phones and some objectionable materials were seized and two sex workers rescued.
The two men were arrested after police caught them in compromising positions with the two sex workers. The woman Tripathy was running the racket from the house which she had taken on rent by hiring girls from outside.
