Kendrapara: A man beat his 60-year-old mother to death as she took time to serve him lunch at Praharajpur village under Rajnagar police limits Thursday, police said. IIC Sukant Kumar Patra said that, after being deserted by his wife, the accused Sashikanta Biswal (37) was staying with his mother Srimati Biswal. He asked her to serve lunch and when she took time to do this, the son attacked her with a piece a wood. The woman died on the spot.
The Rajanagar police sent the body for autopsy to the Aul CHC. Police arrested the accused.
