Jaleswar: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) detained a person on the charge of attempting to loot an SBI ATM at the railway station here in Baleswar district late Saturday night.
The accused was identified as Sudeb Ray of Kurumsol village under Gangarampur police limits in West Bengal’s South Dinajpur district.
When Sudeb was trying to damage the ATM machine, the siren rang out. On hearing the siren, locals and railway staff rushed to the spot and overpowered Sudeb, who tried to escape.
