Ranpur: A minor girl, whose obscene picture and video shots went viral on social media recently, has approached the Nayagarh SP and sought his intervention for arrest of a youth who, she said, was behind the heinous act.
With the help of her family members, the girl submitted a written complaint to the SP. She identified the youth as Sarbeswar of Damsahi near here. According to the girl, the youth was in a one-sided love affair with her. He often followed her and passed lewd comments on her, she said.
It was revealed that a few days back, Sarbeswar abducted the girl and allegedly molested her. He clicked the pictures and videographed the molestation, by use of his mobile phone. After this, he began blackmailing her, and later circulated her sexually loaded video and pictures on social media, she complained.
Earlier, the victim had lodged a complaint with Ranpur police, but no step was taken. She said the accused was now threatening to kill her.
