Kendrapara: The Special Task Force (STF) personnel of Bhubaneswar Wednesday apprehended one Machhu alias Sheikh Abdul Qadir of Imambada village under Kendrapara Town police station for his alleged involvement with Tito and his cousin brother Babloo alias Sayed Iman Ali. The STF personnel also unearthed Machhu’s involvement in an extortion case .
According to STF sources, Machhu was working as a bridge between Tito and some government officials. Tito and his brother generally used Machhu to provide monetary gratification to police personnel and also some officials of the Irrigation department for helping the gangster expand his criminal activities.
The STF personnel have been interrogating him to unearth Tito’s link with government officials who helped him to get tenders .
Vigilance sleuths of Kendrapara and Cuttack also conducted raid at the house of Reserve police Havildar of Kendrapara ,Trailokya Jena, for his alleged link with Tito and for having assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
