Bhadrak: Three bike-borne miscreants looted jewellery worth Rs 4 lakh from a businessman at Dhamnagar area in this district Saturday night.
According to reports, the miscreants came on a bike and intercepted the vehicle of Ratnakar Sahoo, owner of Kanak Durga Jewellery, when he was downing the shutter of the shop. They snatched away his bag containing gold ornaments worth more than Rs 4 lakh and fled the spot.
Getting information, police swung into action and managed to nab one of the looters identified as Sangram Das. A motorcycle and the stolen gold ornaments were recovered from his possession.
A manhunt has been launched to nab two other miscreants who are still at large, police said.
