Kamakhyanagar: Three teachers have been issued show-cause notice after the flagpole with the National flag got uprooted on their school premises in this block under Dhenkanal district Wednesday.
The incident, causing disrespect to the Tricolour, occurred at Nuasahi Primary School of Bhagirathipur village under Kadua panchayat.
A couple of hours after the flag hoisting ceremony, the local residents spotted the mast lying on the ground and immediately informed the block education officer.
After BEO’s instruction, the flagpole was brought back to its previous position.
When contacted, the BEO confirmed the incident and said the three teachers who are in-charge of the school have been issued show-cause notice.
