Sambalpur: The water level of Hirakud dam reservoir stood at 615.77 feet at 9 pm Thursday as against the full reservoir level of 630 feet when water from the dam was being released through five sluice gates.
Though the inflow of water into the dam reservoir was 75,474 cusec, three gates were closed out of five sluice gates.
Meanwhile, the outflow from the dam reservoir through two gates was 45,592 cusec.
Notably, there are 64 sluice gates, including 24 on the right side and 40 on the left side of the dam to release flood water.
