Dhenkanal: A biker was killed while the pillion rider sustained critical injuries after a car collided with the motorbike they were travelling in at Kirtanpur near Kankadahad in Dhenkanal district Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Bharat Singh of Kandhara village.
According to reports, a speeding car from the opposite side collided head-on with their bike. Bharat and Aaraj Singh were going to Gadapalasuni.
While Bharat died on the spot, Aaraj sustained critical injuries. He was later admitted to a local hospital.
The car driver fled, leaving the vehicle on the spot. The police have reached the spot and a probe into the incident was underway.
