Dhenkanal: Two private buses parked near Caltex Square here caught fire mysteriously and were reduced to ashes triggering panic in the locality Tuesday morning. However, no casualty was reported in the incident.
Passers-by spotted the fire at 6.30 am Tuesday and immediately informed the fire officials. A firefighting team reached the spot and doused the flames. On receipt of information, police rushed to the spot and began an investigation into the incident.
The two buses had been stationed in the area for the past two years. Though the exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, locals suspect it to be the handiwork of a few anti-socials.
An investigation is on into the incident, said Caltex Police Outpost Officer Madhaba Chandra Nayak.
