Bargarh: Mystery shrouded the death of a minor girl whose body was found atop Bidhyabasini hill under Bheden police limits in Bargarh district Saturday.
According to reports, the girl was missing for the past six days. Following recovery of the body, family members of the deceased suspect that she might have been killed by someone and later her body was dumped atop the hill to conceal the crime.
The girl had allegedly eloped with two youths six days ago following which the family had lodged a written complaint with police Friday after they failed to trace her whereabouts.
Police reached the spot, seized the body and sent it for post-mortem. Police have also started an investigation in this connection.
