Prayagraj: Yoga guru Baba Ramdev has urged all sadhus and saints at the Kumbh Mela to quit smoking. Ramdev who is visiting the Mela told reporters here Thursday, that it is not impossible to kick the butt.
“We follow the ideals of Ram and Krishna who never smoked. So why should we smoke? We should take the pledge to quit smoking immediately,” Ramdev told a large number of sadhus at the Mela. However, he just did not stop there. He went about collecting chillums (clay pipe) and tobacco from the sadhus.
“I have forced youngsters to quit smoking, then why not Mahatmas,” he asserted.
The 55-day long Kumbh Mela will end March 4 with approximately 125 million pilgrims expected to take part in it.
