Bhubaneswar: The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has announced that it will cancel several trains running through the region under its jurisdiction owing to the completion of important modernisation work related to railway safety. Train services will remain distrupted between February 10 and March 1.
According to a press communiqué issued by ECoR Thursday, trains originating from and running through the East Coast Railway that will be cancelled include Visakhapatnam-Digha Express from Visakhapatnam February 14, 21 and 28; Digha-Visakhapatnam Express from Digha February 15 and 22 and March 1; Visakhapatnam-Paradeep Express from Visakhapatnam February 10, 17 and 24; Paradeep-Visakhapatnam Express from Paradeep February 13, 20 and 27; and Paradeep-Santragachhi (Howrah/Kolkata) Express from Paradeep February 11, 18 and 25.
In addition, Santragachhi (Howrah/Kolkata)- Paradeep Express from Santragachhi will not run February 12, 19 and 26; Puri-Digha Express from Puri February 9, 16 and 23; Digha-Puri Express from Digha February 10, 17 and 24; Sambalpur-Howrah Express via Angul and Bhadrak from Sambalpur February 15 and 22; Howrah-Sambalpur Express via Bhadrak and Angul from Howrah February 16 and 23; Visakhapatnam-Koraput Express from Visakhapatnam February 8, 11, 15, 18, 22 and 25; Koraput-Visakhapatnam Express from Koraput February 9, 12, 16, 19, 23 and 26; Durg-Jagadalpur Express from Durg February 10, 12 and 14; Jagadalpur-Durg Express via Rayagada and Titlagarh from Jagadalpur February 11, 13 and 15.
Apart from this, some local passenger trains will also remain cancelled.
