Bhubaneswar: The health condition of noted music director in Odia film industry Basudev Rath, who has been undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Cuttack, has deteriorated, according to reports.
Rath, who was not well for the last three months, has been admitted Friday at the hospital.
Some reports said Rath has been facing a financial crisis.
His fans, artists and cine actors have urged the government to provide assistance to Rath from the Artists’ Fund.
The 70s and 80s used to be the golden period of Basudev Rath in the film industry.
His compositions such ‘Priya Moro Eki Kala…’, ‘Jahaku Mu Ete Bhala Pauchhi..’, ‘Asiba Bara Tora..’, ‘Kau Dhana Khaila Boli..’ are still remembered and crooned by the present generation singers.
