Balasore, May 6: A person was killed while 20 others sustained injury when a passenger bus met with an accident on the national highway at Bamapada of Balasore in the wee hours Wednesday.
Condition of four of the injured passengers was stated to be critical and they were shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack.
A bus of Dolphin Coach Company was carrying passengers from Paradip to Kolkata. It collided against a divider at about 3.45 am and overturned, killing one on the spot.
Informed, Silpanchal police rushed to the spot and sent the injured to district headquarters hospital. Among the injured were Anil Parida of Bhubaneswar, Srimant Mandal of West Bengal, Subas Patra of Kolkata and Mintu Mahalik of Benjhur. Condition of Mir Kasim, Mir Sabir, Mamata Giri and Suryakant Rout is stated to be critical.
