New Delhi: With the Lok Sabha polls approaching temperatures on the rise and the politicians are busy attacking each other verbally. But things took a new turn Saturday night when Congress spokesperson and leader Alok Sharma threw a glass of water on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) representative KK Sharma during a live TV debate.
In the video, that has now gone viral on social media platforms, Alok lost his cool when his BJP counterpart called him a ‘traitor’ multiple times during the course of the heated discussion. In a fit of rage, Alok assaulted the BJP spokesperson by throwing a glass of water on him.
The water splashed over anchor’s jacket, leaving him drenched. The anchor had to change his outfit to present the remaining programme. Though no one was hurt pieces of glass could be seen scattered across the studio.
Once the programme resumed, KK asked Alok to apologise for his act. The latter on the other hand demanded an apology from the former for the use of the word ‘traitor’.
