Kantapada: As the Niali Assembly constituency goes to polls today (Monday), voters in Kantapada block will exercise their franchise at 82 booths.
However, out of the 62 booths coming under Gobindpur police limits of Kantapada block 37 booths are hyper-sensitive. Out of the 20 booths coming under Olatpur police limits, the booth in Salei, Bedpur, Chheda along with two booths in Adaspur are hyper-sensitive.
The polling booths of Sundargram, Bagalpur, Sisua, Bairoi and Adaspur project upper primary schools, coming under Kantapada block, have been designated as model booths.
In order to conduct free and fair elections, the hyper-sensitive booths will be guarded by the Border Security Force, said IIC of Olatpur police station, Chinmayee Sahu, and IIC of Gobindpur police station, Sarat Chandra Sethi.
