BHUBANESWAR: The third edition of ‘Anusarana Odissi Dance’ workshop was organised by Guru Debaprasad Das Foundation here Monday.
Inaugurating the programme, Geeta Rani Das said, “Treasuring guruji’s step forever is our motto and all our workshops are a testament to that. All the children who have been learning here are true gems.”
The dancers who participated in the event were Awisharya, Tanisha, Smaranika, Bansika, Swayam Swarupa, Swayam Sikha, Khirabdhi and Ishita.
Interacting with Orissa Post Guru Bipanchi Das said, “Every year we organise this programme to test the skills of the students who hone their talent to be eminent dancers in the future.”
The first dance of the programme was ‘Mangala Charana Ganesha Tandab’ which was performed wonderfully by the young artistes. This was followed by ‘Stai’ and ‘Basanta Pallabhi’.
The final performance of the event was ‘Madhubanti Balabi’ by ‘Aishwarya Suman’. The performances were choreographed by Late guruji Debaprasad Das. The vote of thanks was proposed at the end of the programme by Santosh Pradhan.
