Dhenkanal: Three Pugilists from Dhenkanal proved their credentials by returning with 20 medals in the National kickboxing championships 2019 held in Rohtak, Haryana.
Kirtirani Sahu was the peak of the lot claiming three yellow metals while Mihir Ranjan Sahu bagged a couple. Devabrata Sahu managed to log a silver.
Odisha bagged a total of 20 medals which included seven gold, seven silver and six bronze medals.
Kirtirani, Mihir and Devabrata met the District Sports Officer (DSO) Pradeep Kumar Mohanty at his office Monday. The DSO wished them good luck for their future competitions. All these pugilists are being trained by coach Krushna Chandra Dakua.
