Mahakalpara: Body of a woman and her daughter were recovered from Gobari branch canal near Jena Sahi at Gagua village that comes under Tantiapal police limits of Mahakalpara block in Kendrapara district Tuesday morning.
The deceased have been identified as Neuli(45), wife of Jadumani Jena and their daughter Jhunilata(8) of Jena Sahi.
According to locals, Neuli was mentally unsound.
On being informed, Tantipal police reached the spot and have recovered the bodies for postmortem. Further investigation is on.
