Sambalpur: Sambalpur Town Police Saturday night seized seven cartons of Corex syrup and arrested five persons on charges of smuggling the cough syrups illegally. Acting on a tip-off about illegal transportation of medicines, two teams of Sambalpur Town police station conducted surprise raids at Sahu Colony and near Sani Temple and zeroed in on five persons involved in the illegal trade. A total of 1,117 bottles of Corex cough syrups had been seized in the raid.
