Baripada: Since the state government has attached much importance to 5T (Teamwork, Technology, Transparency, Transformation and Time Limit) in the official machinery to successfully implement plans and programmes, the Mayurbhanj administration had directed all departments to follow the 5T principle to bring about transformational change in work.
Collector Vineet Bhardwaj chaired a district-level meeting at the collectorate Saturday and laid stress on implementing 5T principle in all offices so as to ensure that programs succeed and benefits reach the people.
Officials of various departments had attended the meeting. At the meeting the Collector suggested fast disposal and redressal of public complaints at each government office. There should be single window cell in each office headed by a nodal officer to deal with public grievances on a daily basis, Bhardwaj added.
The officials were advised to work in tandem to redress public issues by making use on Internet, WhatsApp, cell phones and social media of designated officials.
The Collector laid stress on improving accountability and transparency in providing citizen-centric administration in sectors like education, health, drinking water, agriculture, horticulture, cooperation, social welfare, social security, civil supplies, revenue, forest, rural development and urban development.
Officials were asked to submit reports about implementation of 5T in the official work as soon as possible.
The Collector advised the officials to monitor work in the lower offices and ensure that complaints of the people are properly redressed.
SP Smit P Parmar said Mo Sarkar will be hastened through all help desks in all the police stations so as to provided services to the people on the basis of 5T.
From October, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will directly interact with people through videoconferencing to know about the implementation of 5T in various sectors.
In view of this, the Collector advised the officials to be careful in the execution of 5T in works.
