Rourkela: A lady excise constable Sunday complained to Mahila police here that she was being eve-teased by a senior colleague (sub-inspector) of her office.
According to sources, accused Surya Narayan Rath had been misbehaving with her for the past five months. Despite resistance by the lady cop, the accused did not mend his ways.
However, she has also informed her higher-ups about the incident, but in vain. As the sexual harassment increased day by day, she was compelled to lodge a written complaint with local police.
The Rourkela Mahila station registered a case (27/19), under section 354 (clause A-I and II) of IPC and started an investigation. On being contacted, IIC Parbati Hembram said they have received a complaint in this regard.
