Bhubaneswar: The special task force of Crime Branch Saturday arrested a henchman of gangster Tito from an undisclosed place in Kendrapara district, a reliable source in the police said.
The accused, a history-sheeter, has been identified as Hk Jabid, alias Danga. He is the son of Sk Abid alias Sk Azgar Ali of Imambada Masjid Gali under Kendrapara town police limits in Kendrapara district.
Danga was nabbed 9:30am following a raid by the cops. He will be produced in the court Saturday, the source added.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of special task force of Crime Branch conducted the raid and nabbed the accused. He has been arrested under sections 364-A, 323, 324, 294, 506, 307, 386, 387, 34 IPC r/w sections 25 and 27 of Arms Act.
Police sources said, Danga was one of the henchmen who had kidnapped Siba Prasad Parida from his office September 9, 2017 and took him to gangster Tito where he was assaulted for not paying up the ransom money.
