The gorgeous actress, who rose to fame with the Fair and Lovely Ad, has established herself as one of the most prominent actress in a short span of time.
She made her small screen debut with the serial ‘Chand Ke Paar Chalo.’ Following that, she was cast into many other serials as well. Yami made her tinsel town debut with Kannada film ‘Ullasa Utsaha’ in 2010. Her performance was praised by audiences and critics alike. Her big break in Bollywood happened with the movie ‘Vicky Donor,’ which she starred opposite Ayushmann Khurrana.
The movie performed well at the Box Office and Yami’s performance once again stood out. Since then, there has been no looking back for this hardworking beauty. Yami Gautam was born on November 28, 1988, to Mukesh and Anjali Gautam in Chandigarh. Her father, Mukesh Gautam is a renowned Punjabi film director. Since her childhood, Yami and her sister Surilie were well aware of the film industry. Ironically, acting was not ‘Uri’ actress Yami’s first choice.
She had enrolled in a college to pursue a degree in law as her goal was to join the Indian Administrative Services (IAS). When Yami turned twenty, she felt drawn towards acting and decided to pursue it. She quit her law studies midway and came to Mumbai looking for her first break.
