Bhubaneswar, Sept 9: Public sector lender Andhra Bank plans to disburse Rs 270 crore under the ‘Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana’ (PMMY) during this financial year, a top official of the bank said. “As part of PMMY, we are hopeful to disburse around Rs 270 crore in the state during this fiscal. As per the direction of State Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC), all the banks will start arranging lending camps from September 25, which will last till October 2,” Circle General Manager (Bhubaneswar) of Andhra Bank PVSTR Seshagiri Rao said adding that it will also arrange disbursal camp and aims to disburse Rs 24.35 crore to 12,190 beneficiaries during the event.
Elaborating on amount to be disbursed under various categories, Rao said that total disbursal in the state will comprise Rs 141 crore under ‘Sishu’ loan category, Rs 118 crore under ‘Kishore’ loan and Rs 11 crore under ‘Tarun’ loan segment. “Bhubaneswar circle, which covers states like Orissa, West Bengal, Sikkim, Tripura, Patna and Jharkhand, will disburse Rs 435 crore this fiscal. Rao also said disbursal by Bhubaneswar zone is pegged at Rs 10.55 crore to 5,280 beneficiaries under Sishu loan category.
Similarly, the official said its zonal office aims to lend Rs 115 crore under PMMY during this fiscal. Out of the total amount, Rs 61 crore will be disbursed under Sishu loan, Rs 50 under Kishore loan and Rs 4 crore under Tarun loan. Interest rate charged on such loans will be at 12 per cent, he added.
