India skipper Virat Kohli’s new retro look will certainly be delight to his fans across the world. Virat Kohli has developed this new look with his new glasses and is really looking chic. Kohli will be seen in his new ‘avatar’ in a chat show with India’s Test opener Mayank Agarwal. The opener has titled his chat show, ‘Open Nets with Mayank’. The Indian skipper across all formats will be the latest to appear on Agarwal’s show. Among the guests who have so far appeared are former India skipper and BCCI president Sourav Ganguly, Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Kuldeep Yadav and the flamboyant West Indian opener Chris Gayle.

BCCI on Twitter

The BCCI took to Twitter to share Wednesday a teaser of the upcoming episode of the chat show that will feature Kohli. In the 17-second teaser, Agarwal can be heard complementing Kohli for his glasses. The Indian captain replies to the complement and says that he has gone ‘retro’.

“Look who’s gone retro. Watch out for this episode of #OpenNetsWithMayank featuring #KingKohli,” the BCCI captioned the video on Twitter.

Sourav’s revelations

Earlier when he hosted Sourav Ganguly, host Agarwal asked the former Indian captain about his partnership with batting legend Sachin Tendulkar. In reply, Sourav tells Agarwal that Tendulkar never used to take strike and always forced him to face the first ball of the innings.

It should be stated here that Sourav and Sachin were one of the most feared ODI opening combinations. The two put up 21 century partnerships opening the innings for India and facilitated a large number of wins.

Gayle’s confession

Agarwal also had a nice time hosting Indian Premier League (IPL) teammate Chris Gayle. The West Indies opener during that episode opened up about an IPL game between the Kings XI Punjab and the SunRisers Hyderabad. In that match, Gayle went after Afghanistan Rashid Khan and smashed the leg-spinner for four maximums in an over.

Gayle, during the chat with Agarwal, revealed that he doesn’t like a spinner coming in and start staring at him.

Hope for IPL

It should be stated here that there is hope that IPL-13 which was postponed due to the pandemic coronavirus, finally may happen. The decision to postpone the T20 World Cup was taken Tuesday by the International Cricket Council (ICC). It has opened up the September-November window for the BCCI to organise the IPL. As things stand there is every possibility that IPL-13 will be played in the UAE. The BCCI has already sought the government’s permission on the matter and is waiting for its reply.
