Bhubaneswar: The state government Tuesday effected a major reshuffle in the senior IPS cadre by changing the portfolios of at least 10 officers, a notification issued by the home department said.
Satyajit Mohanty, a 1988 batch IPS officer, who is posted as the additional director general (ADG), headquarters, was given additional responsibility of ADG, law and order.
Similarly, Manoj Kumar Chhabra was posted as additional director general (ADG), Orissa Human Rights Commission replacing Santosh Kumar Upadhyay. Chhabra was the chairman and managing director (CMD) of Orissa Police Housing & Welfare Corporation. Upadhyay was transferred and posted as CMD of OPH&WC.
Arun Kumar Ray, a 1989 batch officer, was posted as additional DGP, prisons. He was ADG, Special Armed Police (SAP). B Radhika of the same batch, presently posted as director, State Crime Records Bureau, was given additional charge of ADG, SAP.
The 1990 batch officer Sudhansu Sarangi was posted as CMD of Orissa State Road Transport Corporation after his return from Central deputation.
The 2002 batch officer Narasingha Bhol, SP Ganjam on promotion to the rank of DIG was posted as DIG, Vigilance.
The 2007 batch IPS, Awinash Kumar, was posted as SP of Crime Branch. He was posted as commandant, OSAP, 5th Battalion in Baripada.
