Bhubaneswar, March 10: Sports Hostel, Cuttack sealed a berth in the final of the Tata Utkalika Cup football tournament after pipping Yajdani Club-73 by a solitary goal in a semifinal match at the Unit-VI HS Ground here Thursday. The Cuttack side will face the winner of the second semifinal match between Tata Football Academy (TFA) and Kishor Club, Friday.
Harimohan Soren netted the all important goal of the match in the 15th minute.
Rabani in semis
Rabani Club, Nagpur qualified for the semifinals of the 11th All India D S Cup football tournament defeating East coast Railway at the Court Ground in Boudh, Thursday.
Both the sides failed to find the back of the nets in the stipulated period. The Maharshtra side clinched victory via sudden death.
Hockey tourney
The Accountant General (Accounts & Entitlement), Orissa will organise the IA &AD East Zone and Inter- Zonal hockey tournament at the Kalinga Stadium here March 13-20.
AG (Orissa), AG (West Bengal) and AG (Jharkhand) are the participants in the knock-out-based EZH tournament .The winner of the inaugural game between Orissa and Jharkhand, will face the WB side in the final.
The winner and the runner-up of the EZH tournament will enter the Inter-Zone hockey tournament, starting March 20. Two teams each from North, South, East and West Zones will feature in the tournament.
