Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the panchayat elections next year, the state government once again effected a major reshuffle in Orissa Administrative Service (OAS) cadre.
This is the third time in a span of one month that the state has made a reshuffle at OAS level. Earlier, the government had made OAS reshuffle May 7 and 11.
According to a notification issued by the general administration (GA) department Monday, OAS officer Sukadev Das has been appointed as the secretary of Orissa Information Commission (OIC) while Ananta Kumar Bhuyan was appointed the controller of legal metrology and director consumer affairs.
Similarly, Prabhat Kumar Bhoi has been posted as the new ADM of Bhadrak while Akshay Kumar Mohanty has been appointed as joint secretary of higher education department, the notification said.
Likewise, Rajashree Mohanty has been placed on the post of member secretary to Orissa State Food Commission, Mirdha Topo as project assistance of ITDA – Bonai and Santosh Kumar Mishra as secretary of Rourkela Development Authority.
Moreover, Babaji Charan Das has been posted as the additional secretary to handlooms and textiles department, while Satya Narayan Das is now the project director of district rural development agency (DRDA) – Jharsuguda and Jyoti Ranjan Pradhan as the new ADM of Sambalpur.
The government has also promoted five OAS officers to the rank of sub-collector with new places of posting. They are – Gopal Swami (Nawarangpur), Gourahari Behera (Champua), Sashanka Sekhar Dash (Dharamgarh), Suranjan Pradhan (Baliguda) and Krutibas Rout (Jeypore).
Besides, OAS officer Lingaraj Behera has been appointed as the new administrative officer of Sishu Bhawan, Cuttack and Rashmi Ranjan Nayak as the deputy secretary of women and child development with an additional charge of Mahila Vikas Samabaya Nigam. Subhra Mohanty has been appointed as the new additional sub-collector of Dhenkanal.
