Bhubaneswar, July 22: Orissa pacers bowled well to share six wickets among themselves as Hyderabad were reduced to 265 for the loss of six wickets on day one of the of the four-day game of the K Thimmappiah cricket tournament at Bangalore, Friday.
Opting to bat first Hyderabad started well with all the top-order batsmen contributing. Among them were Ankush Bains (59, 72b, 10×4), Paras Dogra (33, 44b, 6×4), Amit Kumar (75, 178b, 11×4), Ankit Kaushik (43, 103b, 6×4) and Rishi Dhawan (44 batting).
However Orissa pacers had to be given credit as they bowled a disciplined line and length and did not allow the opposition much freedom. Deepak Behera (2/45) and Basant Mohanty (2/62) bowled well and were well-supported by Suryakanta Pradhan (1/69) and Bikash Rout (1/43).
Brief scores: Hyderabad 265/6 (Amit Kumar 75, Ankush Bains 59; Deepak Behera 2/45, Basant Mohanty 2/62) vs Orissa. Match to continue.

Orissa karatekas performed brilliantly to clinch 10 gold medals in all the categories of the VIIth All India Open Karate Championships which started at the Utkal Karate School here Friday.
