Koraput: A young engineer from tribal-dominated Jeypore town of Koraput district has developed a unique method which can be used to print nano quick response (QR) code on fingernails, in order to easily access soft copies of personal documents as and when needed.
This invention of the young engineer Sishir Kumar Mallick has become the talk of the town. He has been receiving accolades from all quarters for his unique idea.
In this age of technological advancements, efforts are on to make human life simple and easy. Everyone is using QR code for payment in various fields such as retail shops, showrooms, hospitals, restaurants, shopping malls and airports.
“Information and documents are easily stored and in turn accessed by using specific QR code. Nano nails QR code imprint method that I have developed is simpler, easier and safer to use. The newly-developed method of generating a QR code through computer programming can be used either temporarily as a sticker for few days or permanently be printed on nail like that of a tattoo,” the engineer Sishir asserted.
There is no need to carry any document, but soft copies thereof can be accessed by scanning specific QR code with mobile phone. The access is password protected and hence quite safe for a user.
Even to the extent, soft copy of a document can be accessed through the nano nail QR code, hard copy of which has already been lost.
This typical method is first of its kind in the country, Sishir stated.
