Cuttack, Sept 2: As per the new Ranji Trophy format, Orissa will play all their Group-B league matches away from home. They will start their campaign against Vidarbha at Vizag, October 6-9. Their other matches will be against Saurashtra (Hyderabad, October 13-16), Delhi (Mohali, October 27-30), Rajasthan (Patiala, November 5-8), Assam (Delhi, November 13-16), Karnataka (Palam, November 21-24), Maharashtra (Kochi, November 29-December 2) and Jharkhand (Chennai, December 7-10).
Orissa will play all their matches of the Vijay Hazare Trophy at Delhi. The opponents are Haryana (February 25), Assam (February 28), Baroda (March 1), Vidarbha (March 3), Railways (March 4) and Punjab (March 6).
In the under-23 CK Nayudu Trophy, Orissa will start their campaign against Haryana at Lahili, October 10-13.
Sports Hostel win
Sports Hostel eked out an easy 2-0 victory over Sunshine Club in a match of the FAO Ist Division Super League at the Barabati Stadium here, Friday.
Sports Hostel dominated the match completely by scoring once in each half. Francis Lakra opened the account in ninth minute. They got their insurance goal in the 80th minute when Bikash Chandra Padhihary hit the target.
OSJA website launched
Orissa Sports Journalists’ Association (OSJA) website ‘www. osjaweb.org’ was inaugurated by Indian Sports Journalists Federation’s (ISJF) former president S Sabanayakan at the KIIT University premises in Bhubaneswar, Friday. OSJA will host the national convention this year in Bhubaneswar, September 14-18.
